Effect of Panax Ginseng Ethanol Extract on the Infection of Bacteria

Abstract
|
|
|
The authors have been studied the activities of Panax ginseng ethanol extract on the growth and infection of M. tuberculosis H37Rv in mice.
The experimental animal groups was desingned as follows;
Ginseng extract was administrated with 20pg per gm of body weight of each experimental mice. First group was inoculated with M. tuberculosis in normal mice. Second group was inoculated with M. tuberculosis and given with Ginseng extract
extract at same time in normal mice.
Third group were given with Ginseng extract for 15 days, and after that M. tuberculosis was inoculated in mice.
Fourth group was given with Ginseng extrract through the experiment and M. tubercu losis was inoculated in mice on 15th days.
The results are summarized as follows;
1. The growth of M. tuberculosis H37Rv in Dubos broth was not activated against the addition of 100gg and 500,ug per ml of Ginseng ethanol extract.
2. The infection of M. tuberculosis H37Rv in mice was not activated against the admi￢nistration of Ginseng Ethanol extract on the different conditions.
